Services for Young People provides youth work projects, information, advice, guidance, work-related learning and wider support for young people aged 11 to 17 and up to 25 for some vulnerable groups.  

St Albans Team Youth Work Projects

Change Grow Live

Change Grow Live’s mission is to help people change the direction of their lives, grow as individuals and live life to its full potential. They offer alcohol and substance misuse and addiction support.

Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service

Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service provides a range of educational programmes for young people including Fire Cadets, Juvenile Fire-setter Intervention Scheme and Life Project.

Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service Children and Young People

Hertfordshire Police – Schools and Gangs Team

This Hertfordshire Police specialist team targets early intervention to educate young people about gang and knife crime. Professionals can refer young people where the young person is not currently engaged with another agency.

Herts Sports Partnership

The Herts Sports and Physical Activity Partnership works collaboratively to create the conditions for an active nation and uses the power of sport and physical activity to transform lives. 'Fit, Fed and Read' summer programmes and Career Mode programmes offered.

St Giles

St Giles is a charity which uses expertise and real-life past experiences to empower people who are not getting the help they need: people held back by poverty, exploited, abused, dealing with addiction or mental health problems, caught up in crime or a combination of these issues and others.


The Prince’s Trust, Start Something

The Prince’s Trust provide online resources for young people in the East of England. Their courses include:

  • Explore Enterprise – people aged 18-30 can develop skills and ideas for setting up a business
  • Game Design
  • Nail Art

They also provide cash awards and relief funds available to young people who need support with their business or getting into education, training or employment.
