National Youth Work Week 2022: ‘A Festival of Youth Work’

28 September 2022

As part of our Youth Work Week celebrations, Services for Young People (SfYP) is inviting young people to create a poster expressing ‘What youth work and youth workers mean to me’ and enter it into our poster competition.

A Festival of Youth Work

Youth Work Week takes place in November every year and celebrates the positive impact youth work has on young people. This year's theme is ‘A Festival of Youth Work’.

Young people aged 11-17 (up to 24 for young LGBT+ people, care leavers and young people with learning disabilities) can create a poster around the theme of ‘What youth work and youth workers mean to me’ and submit it between Monday 3rd October and Friday 28th October 2022.

There are three ways young people can enter...

  • give their poster to a youth worker at the project they are attending
  • post it on their social media (Facebook, Instagram or Twitter) using the hashtag #SfYPFestivalofYouthWork
  • email it to

Please include name, age and town in the post/message.

The winners will be chosen by Services for Young People managers on 28th October and certificates will be sent to each winner.

The winning posters will be printed in A3 and displayed at the young people’s centres in their local area as well as being displayed at the local SfYP Young People’s Awards event during Youth Work Week.
