The programme is open to children and young people eligible for benefits-related free school meals. The aim is to help close the holiday experience gap that some disadvantaged families may face over this period.
Hertfordshire County Council, Herts Sports Partnership and Hertfordshire Community Foundation are once again joining forces to deliver healthy food alongside sport and physical activity.
SfYP will run ten programmes across the county for four hours a day for five days, Monday to Friday, 4-8 April 2022 for 13 to 16 year olds.
Each young person who attends will receive a free healthy lunch each day and have the opportunity to take part in sports, games, dance and team challenges. Youth Workers will also run workshops focusing on healthy lifestyles, including resilience, healthy relationships, staying safe and smoking, drug and alcohol awareness.
Young people will also find out about other services available to them in their area, including our term-time projects for young people.
